WHY THE NAME RAINBOW?
On some of the oldest Masonic charts a rainbow is one of the symbols used in connection with fraternal life.
Mr. Sexson decided to call the organization “The Order of the Rainbow for Girls” because it represented the first visible sign that God gave to His creatures. The Order of the Rainbow selects the
girlhood of a country as a medium through which God fulfills His promise.
